Ian Seager appointed as Regional Commercial Manager with Fortec Pallet Network

The Fortec Pallet Network has appointed Ian Seager as its Regional Commercial Manager.

Ian boasts a wealth of experience in sales, development and strategy in the Logistics industry. Prior to his appointment with Fortec he was Sales Director and a shareholder at Jensa. During his three and a half years there his areas of responsibility included freight forwarding, warehousing, pallet networks, import and export, fulfilment, pick & pack, integrated solutions, MHRA and Duty Suspended warehousing.

Ian’s achievements at Jensa included creating new markets, discovering, planning and implementing numerous new business opportunities, increasing annual revenues by several million and taking the business from 110,000sq ft of warehousing to 250,000 over four sites.

In the 11 years before Jensa Ian worked at Ryder Plc as a Transport Consultant. In this role he was responsible for dedicated logistics, with Driver contracts and in-house and out-based commercial vehicle solutions. Every year in his last five years at Ryder Ian was highlighted as one of the top performers in business development within the company, this culminated with him being inducted into the Ryder Hall of Fame in Miami Florida.

He has also previously worked for Transfleet Ltd, Via Contract Hire and Arlington Contracts Ltd.

Ian is 45 years old. He is married to Nic and lives in Oakley, Bedfordshire. The couple have two children.

In his spare time he enjoys rugby, fitness challenges and has taken part in a number of marathons, endurance events and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
