Following the launch of its new transactional web site, The GadgetShop™ has for the first time outsourced its efulfilment operation. iForce, the UK's leading multi-channel retail logistics specialist has won the contract and commenced an efulfilment service from its Milton Park warehouse in Oxford.
Innovative gadget and gift retailer The GadgetShop™ is part of The Entertainer Group, the UK's largest independent toy retailer and provides a wide range of useful and fun products – anything from a radio-controlled mosquito to a portable UV monitor to a plasma ball.
The rapid growth of The GadgetShop™ website has led to an increasing volume of customer orders being shipped. This placed a strain on the online retailer's in-house fulfilment operations. In order to continue the high level of service, which The GadgetShop™ demands, iForce were brought in to take over the entire fulfilment operation.
Christmas gifts are an important part of The GadgetShop's business and delivers a huge peak, which reaches in excess of 4000 orders a day. iForce's ability to scale its operations to handle rapid growth also allows it to deal with such peaks in business.
Will Naalchigar, Logistics Manager for The GadgetShop™ explains: "After a long period of investigation iForce were selected as our partner for fulfilling customer orders. We could see in iForce the same commitment to exceptional customer service that we ourselves believe in. In addition to this we also saw the opportunity to use iForce's sophisticated Fulfilment System to provide extra services to our customers in the future, such as gift wrapping or named-day delivery."
Mark Hewitt, CEO at iForce, comments: "By working in close partnership and using our specialist expertise and technology we can provide the high service levels expected by The GadgetShop™ as they enjoy continued online retail growth. Outsourcing its efulfilment to iForce also allows The GadgetShop™ to benefit from the ability we have to scale our business to handle the large Christmas peaks."
