Import Services gains Authorised Economic Operator status

Logistics provider, Import Services, is receiving accreditation as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) – thanks to its high standards, well trained staff and excellent facilities.

The Southampton-based company is well-known for its inbound shipping and port centric high volume pick, pack and distribution services. Now its expertise and professionalism is being rewarded with AEO status – an internationally recognised badge given only to respected European Community companies recognised for their secure role in the global supply chain.

"Companies with AEO status are highly regarded in the international logistics industry and qualified businesses are viewed favourably by Customs when goods they handle cross EU and international boundaries," said Mike Thomas, client services director at Import Services.

"AEO status demonstrates our standards are high and Import Services is a ‘safe pair of hands’. "Businesses place great faith in their logistics suppliers and the decision to appoint a 3PL is not taken lightly. It is a credit to all our staff we have achieved AEO status. Our clients and potential clients can look forward with confidence to first class inbound shipping and clearance with Import Services"
