Industry leaders feel the love

Some of the foremost logistics companies and truck manufacturers will be leading the way in celebrating the sector’s successes at the Logistics Showcase on 13 April at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham. Supporters and sponsors for this brand new black tie event have just been announced by FTA, which is organising the event.

Leading 3PLs DHL, Kuehne + Nagel, TDG, and Wincanton will be taking up the role of Logistics Champions, while manufacturers DAF, Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes Benz and Volvo join 3PLs Norbert Dentressangle and CEVA Logistics as Logistics Supporters.

Theo de Pencier, FTA Chief Executive, said:

"To have the cream of the logistics crop behind Showcase is a fantastic boost for the event. This is going to be a true celebration of all we have achieved as a sector, in spite of the difficulties of the past year, and we’re delighted to have the industry leaders on board."

Hosted by Kate Silverton, one of the BBC’s leading presenters, and taking place on the first evening of the CVO Show, Logistics Showcase will bring together all aspects of the sector, from suppliers to buyers, logistics companies to trade bodies.

The event will also kickstart the Love Logistics campaign, which seeks to raise the profile of the sector among the public and to help them understand the vital role logistics plays in their everyday lives. Showcase guests will be treated to the premiere of four short films, commissioned specially for Love Logistics, highlighting different aspects of the sector.
