One of the region’s leading materials handling and forklift attachment firms has produced a bespoke solution to help firms across the country reduce their costs and increase productivity.
Contact Attachments, based in Newtown, Mid Wales has come up with the perfect design to help companies across the UK and Europe by launching three various specification wheelie bin handlers, designed to lift wheelie bins into waste skips without the requirement of manual labour.
Jason Cadman, Technical Sales Consultant at Contact Attachments, explained: "Our range of wheelie bin handlers are a perfect solution for companies across the whole of the UK, as they don’t require manual handling, hydraulic or electrical fixtures and allow wheelie bins to be picked up by a forklift so that they can be emptied into a waste container easily."
The firm manufactures a wide range of wheelie bin handlers with various specifications, including its smaller handlers for wheelie bins with a capacity of 90-240 litres, and its larger products suitable for handling wheelie bins with a capacity of 600-1100 litres. In addition, the tipper is designed to fit forklift forks up to 145mm wide and 60mm thick.
"The two larger handlers have slightly different specifications, as one is designed for lifting and pivoting the bin over the edge of a waste skip allowing for gravity to take over, whilst the other model has a gearbox fitted, allowing the wheelie bin to be rotated forwards for emptying without having to pivot it over the edge to empty its contents. This offers a more bespoke solution if the skip needs to be evenly spread.
"With these products, users can reduce the cost of having someone to load, handle and empty wheelie bins, leading to increased productivity and lower risks of hazards in the workplace. Like all our attachments, our range of wheelie bin handlers are manufactured to the highest quality and are fully tested and compliant with all appropriate health and safety regulations. We have already had a really positive response, with the handlers currently being used by blue chip companies including DHL, Honda R & D Europe and Balfour Beatty," Jason concluded.
