Introducing the new Hiab Multilift skiploader radio control

The most important consideration when working with any heavy machinery is safety - for the operator, bystanders and the equipment. The new Hiab Multilift skiploader telescopic (SLT) radio control allows the operator to move freely around the truck and get an all-round view of the working area, making loading, unloading and tipping easier and safer. All the controls found on the standard external control can be run from the SLT radio control.

"Safety and ergonomics go hand in hand, literally. That is why we have designed the SLT radio control for use with gloves. It has a logical control structure with large buttons and easy-to-read symbols. That makes the SLT radio control safe to work with, even in challenging conditions," says Jussi Katajainen, Product Manager for Hiab Multilift at Cargotec.

The stop function further enhances safety and replaces the dead-man's switch, allowing operators to use just one hand. "The stop function also acts as an on/off switch for the SLT Radio Control. Just select off mode to carry the radio control safely in your pocket," says Jussi Katajainen.

The radio control runs on rechargeable AA batteries, and there is no need to recalibrate the SLT radio control if power is lost. When the batteries are replaced everything will work exactly as it did before. If the battery runs out, the standard external controls located behind the cabin can still be used. The SLT radio control has an optional two-speed mode available on all Hiab Multilift skiploaders.
