European pallet service provider IPP Logipal has won a new contract with Acheson and Acheson, manufacturers of premium toiletry products.
Based in Trowbridge, Acheson and Acheson has established a reputation for producing high quality products, including a range especially formulated for the prestigious Champneys spa resort.
Quickly emerging as one of the leading FMCG pallet rental providers, IPP Logipal is distributing products for Acheson and Acheson using its one-way trip system.
This simple process allows Acheson and Acheson to order pallets on a need to use basis and let IPP Logipal take care of the rest, including quality control and collection. The agreement initially covers the nationwide Sainsbury's business.
Operating from its Newport location and using its standard 1200 x 1000mm pallets, IPP Logipal pallets are projected to carry over 400,000 cases, covering more than 150 SKU's (stock keeping units), for the customer over the next 12 months.
During peak periods, the robust and flexible service is critical in supporting Acheson and Acheson, as demand for products increases significantly.
Acheson and Acheson supply manager, Ellie Davies, comments: “Manufacturing premium quality brands is our business, so appointing IPP Logipal to provide a simple, high quality solution that we can rely on was important.
“The effect of introducing IPP Logipal into our supply chain has been so marked that we are now planning to extend our relationship to use IPP Logipal pallets with our other customers.
She added: “IPP Logipal shares our commitment to high quality and a strong customer focus. We worked closely with Sainsbury's in choosing a provider and IPP Logipal's high quality pallets were an instrumental factor in the decision.”
There is also further potential to expand operations as Acheson and Acheson continues to develop its customer base with other major high street retailers. Phil Storer, UK managing director of IPP Logipal, comments on the immediate benefits for Acheson. “It's always good to be able to make a real positive difference for a customer.
“Historically pallet usage was causing too much disruption within this customer's business and more importantly with one of its major customers. IPP Logipal's solution simply removed the pallet problems.”
