Visitors to this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show will, for the first time, get to see a ground-breaking fully rugged 7-inch Android tablet. Isotrak and Getac will demonstrate Isotrak’s mobile app solution on the Getac Z710 Android-powered device.
Isotrak, provider of vehicle tracking and telematics solutions, and Getac, global designer and manufacturer of rugged computing technology, will show how a robust and user-friendly mobile computing platform benefits commercial fleet operations and off-site workers. Demonstrations will show how their integrated solution provides a mobile computing solution that facilitates data entry, data collection, GPS tracking, fleet visibility and more, and the ability to operate in almost any environment.
The Getac Z710 runs Android 4.1 and has a 7-inch touchscreen which is readable in direct sunlight and, crucial for mobile workers, a battery that provides more than ten hours of operational time. It is a fully integrated device, which includes a 1D/2D barcode reader and advanced GPS technology (SiRFstarIVTM) accurate to 1.5 metres.
The combination of Isotrak’s solution for fleets and Getac’s Android-powered Z710 tablet results in one of the toughest, most versatile and secure solutions on the market.
"Getac has a reputation for providing the best rugged devices available, and we have forged a solid relationship with Getac’s developers to enable Isotrak to offer market-leading solutions, both in-cab and handheld," says Jason Price, Sales & Marketing Director, Isotrak. "Drivers need to focus on driving, so a lightweight, compact and easy to use mobile device with a battery that will last for a full shift is essential, whether out in the field, on the road or at the point of delivery for capturing ePODs. The Z710 tablet is ideal for this, and has proved to be extremely reliable."
Isotrak and Getac will be at Booth 4G90 at the Commercial Vehicle Show, which will be held at the NEC in Birmingham from Tuesday April 29th April to Thursday 1st May.
