George Tomlin promoted to support increasing customer demand from the logistical and pharmaceutical sectors
Itim Consulting has promoted George Tomlin to Partner to support increased market activity. George will take responsibility for supporting increasing customer demand from the logistics and pharmaceutical sectors.
George joined Itim Consulting in 1998 with years of experience of implementing significant business change through the implementation of IT, working for a number of major UK retailers. His roles focussed on the delivery of excellent service and the identification and successful implementation of business solutions.
His early work at Itim Consulting focussed around package selection and implementation and led to his first major business change role as manager for an integration programme within the pharmaceutical industry. Building on the experience of business change, a number of major projects followed, ranging from definition of a new approach to store opening for a major UK retailer, to the integration of local IT into a new European service centre for a global logistics provider.
Commenting on the appointment, Chris Collins, Managing Director of Itim Consulting said: “In a recent survey of our customer and partner base, we asked for nominations of individuals who were Truly Amazing Project Managers. It is to George's credit that he received a number of nominations from different customers alongside members of their own staff. He has been with us for nearly ten years and throughout this time has been an exemplary member of staff and a valued mentor for many individuals in our customer base.”
George lives in London but is also a member of a farming family, which means he can be called upon at busy times of the year to help out. He can sometimes be found at weekends, working nights in the lambing sheds or helping cows to calve. A far cry from the diversity and challenges of Itim's corporate customers.
Itim Consulting helps customers execute strategic changes, process improvements and IT initiatives. Working closely with the customer's team, Itim acts as a bridge between the different teams; ensuring the issues are understood, helping develop a vision of how to achieve the desired result and finally, agreeing and implementing practical ways of making it happen.
