Iveco and NETV tick all the right boxes for Harpers Environmetal services

York-based Harpers Environmental Services, experts in the management of waste disposal, waste recycling and specialist cleaning, has taken delivery of three new Iveco Daily vans from North East Truck & Van (NETV).

The delivery includes two Daily 35S12 vans and one Daily 40C18 crew cab with the three vehicles due to operate between Harpers' depots in York and Billingham - locations which are also home to two of NETV's eight dealerships across the North and North East of England.

Expected to cover around 40,000 miles per year, each of the vehicles will be available for operation 24/7 and join a mixed fleet of 50 commercial vehicles, including a variety of different rigid and articulated tankers.

Pat Chambers, Business Development Manager for Harpers Environmental Services says: "When sourcing light commercials from NETV we found that the Iveco Daily range offered us the flexibility to be tailored to our exact requirements."

"The new Daily crew cab in particular offers us tangible savings as it can easily accommodate seven men plus equipment, which means sending just one vehicle out to site, instead of the two we would previously have used. These financial savings are great, but it's an added bonus to know such innovation is also helping us to protect the environment. At this moment, Iveco and NETV are ticking all of the right boxes," she adds. The new Daily's were purchased from NETV following the success of a similar Daily crew cab purchased for the fleet in 2007. Together, they mark the first Iveco's to be operated by the company, where the majority of the light commercials are Ford Transits.

As a proactive environmentally friendly company, Harpers Environmental Services benefits from over 50 years experience in the industry and operates a relatively young fleet, with the majority of its vehicles under five years old.
