Jansen Display forges ahead with UK partner

Jansen Display, one of Europe’s leading Point of Sale providers to major retailers, is forging ahead in the UK after opening their new division in 2008.
The objective on opening the division was to create a sharp efficient business that would live up to its European reputation. A central warehousing and logistic function was considered critical to success, such companies often opt for large big brand logistics operations but in this case a more ‘added value’ solution was sought.

Simon Godolphin, responsible for the UK division comments; ‘I wanted to start on the right foot and was really keen to do business with a local company that could offer a more personal touch. It was a tall order but I needed to give my customers a great first impression and our logistics partner would be key to delivering that.’

Cambridgeshire based, GOfers Logistics Worldwide, ticked all of the boxes providing a full warehousing, picking and packing operation. A true one stop shop solution. An ‘in house’ feel to the operation was essential with GOfers offering a single point of contact and personal service.
Gofers Logistics have managed the warehouse function since 2008 picking, packing and shipping to all UK customers. Shipment size and weights vary enormously with many consignments being fragile. GOfers identify the best carrier for purpose managing last minute and timed deliveries in addition to special and safe carriage shipments.

On one occasion products were shipped to London at 5 pm for an exhibition the next day. On arrival European plugs were discovered rendering the equipment useless for the important event. GOfers Logistics arranged for an urgent delivery of UK plugs to arrive with the desperate customer by 7 pm.
