Jeyes Group refreshes logistics contract with DHL Supply Chain

Five-year deal marks extension of successful 17-year partnership
DHL Supply Chain has once again been chosen to help leading manufacturer of household cleaning products, Jeyes Group, achieve its goal of true global partnership, working as part of its multi-million pound warehousing operations contract.

Under the renewed contract DHL will be responsible for handling the storage of Jeyes’ 800 household cleaning products, including inbound and outbound processing as well as inventory management.

The five-year contract, worth over £13million, follows the successful introduction of DHL’s Warehouse Management System. Among the benefits for Jeyes will be automated tasks and adoption of a paperless system to allow for timely and accurate shipping and order fulfillment improvements. In addition, the system eliminates manual data entry processes and delivers real time inventory tracking and visibility, increased productivity, speed and inventory accuracy thanks to real time processing.

The contract, which covers household names such as Jeyes Fluid, Parozone and Bloo, will be delivered across Jeyes Group’s production facility and national distribution warehouse in Thetford, as well as its warehousing operations at DHL Stanton.

David McDonald, Vice President Operations at DHL Supply Chain’s Consumer unit, said: "We are delighted to have secured this extension to our long-established and very successful relationship with Jeyes Group. Jeyes offers consumers around the world a wide range of products and solutions for cleaning and freshening spaces and places, and is committed to innovation.

"To support their ambitions, we have invested in a leading-edge Warehouse Management System which is taking pride of place at the heart of everything we do for Jeyes. It ensures our systems remain robust while delivering greater efficiency and flexibility."

Paul Martin, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Jeyes Group, added: "Throughout our 17-year relationship, DHL Supply Chain has continued to offer Jeyes a highly adaptable level of service, to effectively meet a continued rise in demand for our products.

"We are very much looking forward to working with the team at DHL over the coming five years as we build upon our previous successes, and as we work towards developing a more efficient and streamlined warehousing strategy."
