On April 10th 2014 the first-ever European Supply Chain Day will take place. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is the primary contact point for all UK-based Supply Chain Day activities.
This is the first time Supply Chain Day events will be held on the same day across Europe and it is sure to be an exciting opportunity to raise awareness of the logistics and supply chain profession.
A variety of events have been confirmed to celebrate European Supply Chain Day in the UK. Highlights of the day include:
· CILT's Young Professionals Forum will visit business students at Uxbridge College to raise awareness and explain the importance of the supply chain industry to global trade
· Women in Logistics will host a discussion titled 'Female truck drivers?' Sponsored and hosted by Meachers Global Logistics
· Kuehne & Nagel are holding a 'Day with Director', inviting a child from one of their partner schools to spend the day with a director
