Jungheinrich raise over £10k for a good cause

Jungheinrich staff throughout the UK have raised in excess of £10,000 for cancer research by taking part in a series of 5k ‘Race for Life’ fun runs.

Jungheinrich paid the entry fee for any members of its staff or their partners who wished to complete the 5k fundraising courses and the athletes then generated additional sponsorship from family and friends.

In addition, engineers at Jungheinrich’s Warrington facility transformed one of the company’s New Generation Torque Converter models by spraying it a vivid pink colour. The truck featured prominently at all the ‘Race for Life’ events.

Jungheinrich’s Craig Johnson said: “It was really great to see so many colleagues coming together as a team and actively doing something for Cancer Research UK.”
