KAISERWhale dirty water recycler from Whale Tankers recognised at RWM Exhibition

Whale Tankers of Solihull - a specialist manufacturer to the waste and cleaning industries - exhibited its increasingly popular and highly specialised KAISERWhale at this year's RWM Exhibition, a product that is now recognised as the leading dirty water recycler here in the UK.

With the manufacture and supply of end products forming only one part of the equation, visitors to the exhibition gained an insight into the infrastructure that Whale Tankers has in place to support its specialist equipment over the product life cycle.

Not only did visitors to the RWM get the opportunity to learn about the comprehensive parts and accessories programme that Whale operates, they gained an overview of the company's service offering that continues to set benchmark standards and which remains the envy of the industry.

Sporting the livery of Whale Tankers customer, SP Holding of Telford Shropshire - a leading contractor and events specialist - the KAISERWhale represents an effective approach to heavy-duty jetting and sewer maintenance, and which also has the capability of handling fat as well. With water recycling becoming increasingly important for obvious reasons, the KAISERWhale is at the forefront on applications of this kind.

Commenting on behalf of SP Holding, Managing Director, Steve Holding said: "Whilst I'm an avid admirer of Whale Tankers, their equipment is quite simply the best that money can buy, the KAISERWhale being recognised as the leading water recycler in the UK. Indeed in our eyes nothing comes close to Whale, not only in terms of how well engineered the product is, but the back-up that Whale provides in the process."

Developed by Whale Tankers in technical partnership with Kaiser AG - both leaders in their respective fields - the specialist unit recycles the water it uses during jetting operations, therefore maximising time spent working on site and minimising time spent off it taking on supplies of fresh water.

Supplied on a Volvo FM 400 8 x 4 chassis, the 26 tonne GVW Jet-Vac tipping tanker unit is scheduled to join an SP Holding fleet of over 100 vehicles after the show and will operate on preventative maintenance and cleaning contracts with leading water authorities, utility providers and specialist organisations involved in the cleaning of culverts and larger diameter sewers.

The SP Holding KAISERWhale features a 150mm full bore, hydraulically operated suction loading boom with 300° rotation, not to mention a 1350mm extension that can be elevated 40° up and 15° down.

The tanker features the Kaiser KDU High Pressure Water pump assembly and KWP High Performance Liquid Ring Pump. The jetting pump delivers high flow and pressure performance and is capable of achieving a flow rate of up to 110 gpm at 200 bar. Located at the rear of the vehicle is a hydraulically operated Whale 'Mega Reel' that effectively handles a 180m, 1 ¼" sewer jetting hose, plus a 10 metre leader hose. Additionally, the SP Holding KAISERWhale has been specified with a 1 bar discharge pressure, which is achieved using Whale's high flow approved PRV valve. Such a design feature means that this particular vehicle is fully PED and PER compliant. Having all the controls for jetting, vacuum and recycling clearly and logically set out on a single panel, facilitates efficient day-to-day operation of the unit.
