Kewill signs customs partner in Hungry, expanding country coverage of CustomsXchange

Kewill has announced that it has signed an agreement with VamSoft, of Hungary, to integrate its Kompakt ZOLL local customs application with Kewill CustomsXchange, expanding the global remit in which the software provides a single gateway for meeting customs compliance.

Kewill CustomsXchange provides a simple, cost effective way to process security and customs declarations for enterprises that import to or export from multiple countries. It does this by enabling companies to enter their security or customs information in one format and through the same interface regardless of its final destination. The CustomsXchange software then handles all the translations to local customs message formats and shares these automatically with the relevant local customs bodies.

Gyula Karakas, CEO at Vamsoft, comments: "Kewill is a market leader for customs solutions in Europe, so this is a strategically important partnership for Vamsoft and we look forward to making our Kompakt ZOLL customs solution available to Kewill's CustomsXchange customers who want to trade with organisations in Hungary."

Vamsoft is rapidly becoming a market leader in Hungary for local customs software with its Kompakt ZOLL solution, which supports electronic import and export declarations. The company was founded in Budapest in 1995, and its clients include major global companies.

Jacquie Boast, COO at Kewill, adds: "The partnership with Vamsoft brings us closer to our long-term strategy of being able to provide pan European customs coverage through Kewill CustomsXchange. The signing of this agreement means Kewill is now in a position to be able to integrate with Kompakt ZOLL to support Hungarian customs declarations via our CustomsXchange solution."
