Recognising the increasing importance intermodal freight transport will play in the future of the global transportation industry, Konecranes is organising its first ever UK Intermodal Seminar - 'Tracks To Success'.
To be held on September 25th at The Thistle Hotel in Birmingham by invitation only, the seminar will serve to reaffirm Konecranes' capabilities as an already established equipment and service provider across a number of global intermodal terminals. And with cranes and lifting equipment forming an integral part of all future intermodal locations, whether attached to a port, logistics hub or containerised waste terminal, Konecranes will use this platform to stress the need for end-users, project managers, designers and contractors to engage lifting equipment specialists at every stage of the design, build, commissioning and operational process.
In addition to Konecranes serving to present its strategic and service driven approach to helping customers 'lift' their intermodal business, three external and industry acclaimed specialists will deliver guest keynote speeches. These will cover the subjects of intermodal terminal planning, IT systems and civil engineering construction.
Commenting on the decision to organise Konecranes' first ever UK Intermodal Seminar, Director of Market Area - West Europe, Pat Campbell said: "The intermodal sector represents a tremendous opportunity for Konecranes both here in the UK and across Europe. It is therefore our aim to demonstrate Konecranes' capability of providing a clear and comprehensive product and service offering that is tailored to helping address the different needs of specific customers. We are delighted to have attracted a number of keynote speakers, each of whom is highly-experienced within the intermodal sector, and feel sure they will play their part in ensuring the seminar is both constructive and beneficial."
As well as being arranged around a series of best practice presentations and keynote speeches, delegates attending the seminar will get the opportunity to participate in panel discussions, whilst also accessing additional knowledge from a series of 'Information Stations'.
