Kubota appoint new Key Account Manager

Kubota UK, the market leading manufacturers of high performance mini-excavators, tractors and groundcare solutions, has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of a new key account manager.

Leana Horton joins Kubota from construction plant hire specialist Hewden, where she looked after national accounts including civil engineering contractors Murphys. She also built up and managed the Crossrail project for Hewden, turning it into a strategic account for the business.

As Kubota’s key account manager, Leana will be responsible for maintaining and developing strategic partnerships with fleet customers throughout the UK, focusing mainly on the market leading range of mini excavators from 0.75 – 8.0T, but also offering the breadth of products across the construction, tractor and groundcare product ranges.

Dave Roberts, MD at Kubota, said: “Leana’s appointment is all about adding value to the service we provide our key account customers, working closer with them to provide support and a first class service offering to ensure they get the best out of their Kubota fleet. She brings years of industry insight and expertise with her to this role, particularly on the construction side, and we are excited to have such an experienced professional join our sales team.”

Commenting on her appointment, Leana said: “Kubota is without doubt an industry leader when it comes to supplying high quality and reliable machinery solutions, whether these are mini-excavators, tractors or utility vehicles. The company has an excellent reputation with dealers and the end-user operators for providing machines that offer outstanding performance & efficiency. I am really looking forward to working with our key account customers and developing these relationships further.”
