Laleham Healthcare appoints the services of waste company SWR

Alton, based product development and contract manufacturing firm Laleham Healthcare has appointed the services of waste company SWR.

The move will help Laleham to significantly improve their recycling performance while reducing their waste costs by around 20 percent.

Lean Project Manager at Laleham Healthcare, Rhys Hayes, said: "As the business has grown, and we are now working with some of the world's leading health and beauty brands, we must demonstrate our quality, not only in our products and services, but in every element of our business operations. Our environmental performance and green credentials are a particularly important part of this.

"SWR will evaluate all of our waste streams identified where we can boost recycling on site, reduce our output of general waste an make significant carbon savings. The monthly reporting and KPI's that SWR produce will give us full visibility and evidence of these achievements. SWR will also help to ensure legal compliance and keep us up to date with the changing environmental legislation.

SWR, who also have offices in Alton, were recently announced as the UK's fastest growing waste company. Their CEO, Giles Whiteley said: "Market drivers, such as the increased cost of landfill and energy from waste, as well as growing pressure from stakeholders, are driving companies to address the way in which they handle their waste.

"Most, if not all, companies, could improve the way in which they manage waste. SWR's expertise lies in taking a complete view of the waste journey from source and working with clients to implement changes that involve effort on both sides. We then report regularly on progress. The result is a strong buy in from client's staff and often leads to significant cost savings."
