A pioneering initiative that’s helping customers make long-term cost and efficiency savings is in the running for a prestigious industry award.
Briggs Equipment’s new customer experience centre has been nominated in the Warehouse and Materials Handling category at the Annual Awards for Excellence 2012, organised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
Based at the firm’s Cannock headquarters, the ‘Phoenix Suite’ showcases everything Briggs has to offer customers; from an impressive warehouse product range through to advanced operational simulation software that brings to life complete warehousing solutions.
Mark Murfet, Briggs’ VNA and warehouse product manager, commented: "It’s a real honour to be shortlisted for such a high-profile award.
"The customer experience centre and our close partnership with NMHG, manufacturer of both Hyster and Yale Europe Materials Handling equipment, has enabled us to develop a unique service that goes far beyond simply supplying and servicing forklift trucks. We are now a key strategic partner for customers and can assist them with everything from choosing the correct warehouse flooring and racking right through to ordering the most appropriate equipment."
Our 3D warehouse simulator is at the heart of the Phoenix Suite, helping customers develop the most practical and efficient layout for their warehouses. It’s able to break down even the most complex operations into the finest detail and also takes into account factors such as energy consumption, goods flow and replenishment regimes.
The CILT Annual Awards for Excellence 2012 recognises outstanding achievements within the transport and logistics industry and will be held on 18 October at the London Marriot Hotel Grosvenor Square.
