Following the successful acquisition in 2007 of Trans-Web, one of the UK's key manufacturers of lifting slings and safety and rescue products, Resolute Holdings Limited took the strategic decision to transfer lifting customers from its sister company Structure-flex Limited to this dedicated manufacturer as from 1st December 2009.
Trans-Web, based in Oldham, is a recognised leader in the design and manufacture of textile lifting and lashing systems and height protection equipment. Its products are used widely in a range of industries throughout the UK and abroad.
Ian Doughty, Chairman of Resolute Holdings, explains: "To avoid duplication of effort, we made the decision to integrate Structure-flex's lifting division with Trans-Web. As a result of this change, all lifting and safety systems previously supplied by Structure-flex are now being supplied by Trans-Web; each company can now concentrate on its core business and continue to provide customers with exceptional products and an enhanced level of technical service and support."
"The transition is running quite smoothly," says Trans-Web Director, Lee Wrigley. "All Structure-flex clients have been informed of the decision to transfer and how to continue ordering, and arrangements have been made for answering technical enquiries. On the practical side, stock transfer is now complete and all financial and administration procedures have been put in place. Our aim is to continue to despatch orders on the basis of next day delivery. Ex-Structure-flex clients will be well served by Trans-Web."
