Linq Alliance goes from strenght to strenght

At a time when many 3PL companies are struggling to show a profit, national logistic service provider, LinQ Alliance, has announced for a second year that it has achieved an 89% year on year increase in turnover. Formed in 2003 by 25 of the country's leading regional transport and distribution companies to provide an alternative to third party logistics, LinQ Alliance has become a major force in the industry offering a range of services from supply chain management through to worldwide distribution.

As well as announcing another successful trading year, LinQ Alliance today confirmed that its Board had reappointed Bob Terris as its Chairman for a consecutive fourth year and that General Manager, John McCune had been appointed to the Board. Managing Director of Meachers Group Holdings, Bob Terris has been instrumental in turning the LinQ Alliance vision into reality.

"LinQ Alliance's success is due to our ability to create innovative, individual company packages that focus on cost savings, communication, customer service, transport synergy and optimisation," said Bob Terris. "By integrating these many competencies within the Company, we have successfully produced a unique approach to supply chain management."

This year LinQ Alliance has underpinned its four-year success with an increase in marketing. The company has produced a new corporate brochure, launched a new website and carried out a PR campaign to highlight industry issues.

"The variety of specialised skills within LinQ has attracted a spectrum of customers ranging from aggregates to brewing and packaging", concluded Bob Terris. "Companies which require a national player have quickly realised that we are a positive alternative, capable of providing a higher level of personal service".

From its new Derby Headquarters, LinQ Alliance offers distribution services throughout the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Eire as well as worldwide distribution. The company has available in excess of 2,000 vehicles and 3600 trailer throughout 47 centres across the UK, delivering a range of facilities that include transportation, warehousing, distribution and added value services.
