Studley-based logistics firm Allelys General Haulage has announced that it is to make its first foray into a new market after joining Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing palletised freight network.
Allelys Group, which incorporates both general, heavy haulage and machinery movements, is renowned for its expertise in the delivery of over-sized and abnormal loads, such as railway rolling stock and electrical transformers for major sub stations.
The family-run business was founded in 1964 and originally transported livestock. Today Allelys operates over 30 general haulage vehicles and also owns several Franna cranes. Joining Palletways, the firm will now cater for a wide range of logistics needs, handling everything from single pallet loads to 400 tonne consignments.
