Fakenham-based Jack Richards & Son, a logistics company with over 55 years’ experience in road transport and freight distribution, and member of the Palletways network, has announced a partnership with Alfresco Concepts Ltd to distribute their world renowned "Big Green Egg" cooker.
As part of the deal Jack Richards & Son has leased 12,000 sq ft of warehouse space to Alfresco Concepts, which will provide a bespoke assembly line for the "Big Green Egg" cooker. This will improve efficiency by housing the entire manufacturing and distribution process on a single site.
David Erzine, Director of Alfresco Concepts, said: "We’ve been using Jack Richards & Son for transporting the cooker around the UK and it moving on to their site was an obvious solution to provide a cost-effective distribution service to our customers".
Dominic Purslow, Depot Principal at Jack Richards & Son, said: "Alfresco Concepts has really made its mark in the UK. It’s great to work with them and provide a logistics and warehousing service that we’re extremely proud of. We wish them continued success as more and more people hear about their fantastic product."
Building on this major success, Jack Richards & Son has also announced they have extended their contract with King’s Lynn-based Big K Products – a specialist supplier of a wide range of high quality solid fuels.
Jack Richards & Son is one of over 100 members in the Palletways UK network – Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. The company’s distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies who share each other’s resources to deliver small consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
