Logistics operator Hellmann hits a hat trick at System Alliance

During its partners’ meeting on 24th May in Krakow, System Alliance Europe (SAE), the open network solution to support independent family run transport businesses, named Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as ‘Partner of the Year 2010’ and gave the UK arm of the logistics business the top spot for quality, seeing it retain its number one position for the third consecutive year.

Based on the monthly quantity and quality evaluations, a total of 15 winners and runners-up were acknowledged by the 60 guests, accommodated in the venue – a 130m deep former salt mine. Other winning partners included Wim Bosman BV Expeditie in the ‘Innovation’ category and Rhenus Freight Logistics Ltd in the ‘Quality’ category. Friedrich GmbH & Co and ITALSEMPIONE SpA were other winners at the event.

Matthew Marriott, Commercial Director of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK, said:
"Sitting at number one for quality in the UK for the third year in a row is a fantastic achievement for Hellmann. A lot of new innovations and developments within the business have been driven by SAE’s measurement criteria leading to distribution standards and system quality continually improving."

The strategy paper for the next three years was also announced at the event and included issues such as the reduction in CO2 production and the introduction of a pan-European mobile data communications system.
