LPR pallet pool operator appoints James Garman Ireland business development manager

LPR, the UK's fastest-growing pallet pool operator, is continuing its aggressive expansion strategy and turning its focus to Ireland. To facilitate this growth, LPR has appointed James Garman as a dedicated business development manager for the region.

Garman joins LPR from rival CHEP and will have responsibility for building upon LPR's existing client base in Ireland and Northern Ireland. After managing accounts such as Tate & Lyle, Tilda, ADM Pura and Cobra Beer at CHEP and a previous role at Allied Bakeries, Garman understands the challenges and robust service requirements of the FMCG sector.

"I'm really excited about joining LPR. The culture of the company is very different to what I'm used to and the organisation's commitment to service and pallet quality fits exactly with what manufacturers want from their pallet pool partners," said Garman. "The one-way-trip model that LPR operates offers such key benefits in terms of internal administration, financial and environmental savings, it will be exciting to take this proposition to new customers."

Jane Gorick, managing director at LPR, added: "We're delighted to have James joining the LPR team. He has a proven track record in FMCG and understands the issues and challenges brands have in getting their goods to store. Ireland is a key market for LPR moving forward, we've had great success in the UK and across Europe over the last couple of years. It's exciting times."
