Leading pallet pooling provider LPR has created three brand new roles to help support ongoing growth. Tom Holmes, Virginia Smith and Chris White join the company’s UK team as commercial assistant and business development managers respectively. They join the team headed up by commercial manager, Joe Hebblewhite.

Having previously worked within the operations department of LPR for two years, Holmes’ new role will see him gain further experience in the field of pallet pooling. As commercial assistant, Holmes will focus on bringing in new business for LPR, as well as providing frontline communications support across the wider business.

Joining LPR’s wider business development team, Smith and White will work with the UK’s bluechip FMCG businesses to help them find the most efficient and cost-effective pallet solutions. Smith brings with her more than twenty years’ experience in sales and account management, while White’s extensive experience within the transport sector will prove advantageous thanks to his wide base of industry contacts.

Holmes commented: “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to further my career at LPR. I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the industry and getting more involved with new and potential clients. Not only that, but working with a new team is always an exciting prospect, especially when we’re all on the same page and working to deliver the best possible results for LPR and our client base.”

Adrian Fleming, regional director of LPR UK and Ireland, added: “I’d like to welcome Virginia and Chris to the team, as well as congratulate Tom on his new role. Both Chris and Virginia will provide valuable insight for our business development team, while Tom will provide vital operational support. It’s an incredibly exciting time for LPR and the creation of these new roles is a big part of our commitment to future growth.”

LPR delivered 73 million pallets across Europe in 2015, rising from 62 million in 2014. This is expected to grow again in 2016 due to a number of new contract wins with high profile FMCG manufacturers, including Nestlé and Kellogg’s.

In February 2016, LPR opened a new depot in Dublin – in partnership with Goggins – and now employs more than 40 personnel throughout the UK and Ireland.
