Manchester furnishers opt for Easilift loading bay equipment

Loading bay equipment has been installed in a £4 million distribution centre opened by Housing Units Ltd, a leading Manchester-based home furnishing retailer.

Providing nearly 4,830 sq m (52,000 sq ft) of warehouse space, the two-storey building, which incorporates administrative offices, is on a five-acre site.

Three loading bays have been equipped with the latest Easilift electrically operated, fully insulated sectional overhead doors, measuring 2750mm wide x 3000mm high Model 403 collapsible frame dock shelters; Poweramp dock levellers; dock lights and LED traffic lights.

Easilift industrial doors are made to measure and can be adapted to almost every available space, with optional vision panels or pass doors.

Its Model 403 collapsible dock shelter is a sturdy unit that completely seals vehicles during loading and unloading. The tough material used in their manufacture ensures maximum resistance to wear caused by reversing vehicles and is resistant to the effects of weather at temperatures ranging from –35 degrees to +80 degrees C.

The Poweramp 232 dock leveller is a fully hydraulic model with a swing/hinged type lip. Available in a range of sizes, it is designed and built to be long lasting and with low maintenance requirements.

Equipment in each of the loading bays is controlled from a single, fully integrated Easilift control panel that is interlocked to ensure the correct sequence of operation.

Easilift also provided 15 stand-alone electrically operated level loading bay doors, each measuring 4000mm wide x 5000mm high, and fitted seven personnel doors throughout the building.

Housing Units Ltd was recently named as one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in the North West.

As one of Europe’s foremost manufacturers of loading bay equipment, Easilift Loading Systems provides everything necessary for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of loading bays, including dock levellers, dock shelters, dock seals, dock pods, doors, high speed doors, vehicle restraints and lifting platforms, as well as a complete range of accessories and safety aids, from dock plates, dock bumpers and wheel guides, to traffic lights and integrated control systems.
