Since Trans-Web was taken over by family-owned Resolute Corporate Holdings Limited some 18 months ago, the company has undergone changes both to its management structure and to its product portfolio, which have resulted in optimism for the years ahead.
The new management team has bedded itself in, is working well, and is making a significant difference to the ethos of the company and its sales turnover. When compared with pre-takeover trading, monthly sales figures are up 40%. To achieve this, there has been some product rationalisation, and to avoid unnecessary product duplication, the Lifting Division of Structure-flex Limited, Trans-Web’s sister company, has been merged into Trans-Web. This has given Trans-Web a wider product range.
Ian Doughty, who leads Resolute Corporate Holdings, comments: "Trans-Web has weathered the awkward transition period extremely well. This is mainly down to the enthusiasm and willingness of the staff to accept the necessary changes, and for this I thank them. The company is shortly to launch a new range of height safety products, which will widen its product range yet again. We are all looking forward to a bright future."
Based in Oldham, Trans-Web was, and remains, a recognised leader in the design and manufacture of textile lifting and lashing systems and personal height safety equipment. Trans-Web products are used widely in a range of industries throughout the UK and abroad.
