Manufacturing company Power Jacks awarded Queens Award for Enterprise for International Trade

World-leading engineering and manufacturing company Power Jacks has been honoured with a Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade. The internationally-recognised awards are the UK's most prestigious accolades for business performance.

Power Jacks' award marks the company's considerable global growth with overseas sales increasing by 246% between 2007 and 2009 - the equivalent of more than £5million. Total exports over the same period amounted to £13million while in 2008 to 2009, almost 70% of total production was exported.

Managing director Bruce Bultitude said: "This is great recognition for Power Jacks which is one of the few remaining non-oil and gas manufacturing businesses in the North-east of Scotland. It is particularly encouraging after what has been a challenging year and demonstrates the strength of our global marketing capabilities which have been key to sustaining a robust business."
