Mark Rogerson MBE appointed as new Speedy Chief Executive

Speedy has announced that it has appointed Mark Rogerson as Chief Executive with effect from today.

Mark was Chief Operating Officer of the Group, having been appointed to the Board in December 2013.

He joined Speedy from Costain Group PLC where he was Managing Director of the Natural Resources division. Prior to working at Costain, he spent eight years at Serco Group plc in various senior leadership roles.

As previously announced, Steve Corcoran will step down from the Board of Speedy and leave the Group with effect from today.

Ishbel Macpherson, Speedy’s Chairman, said: "The Board and I are delighted that someone of Mark’s calibre and drive has taken up the challenge to lead Speedy at this exciting point in its development. We look forward to working with him.

"On behalf of the Board I would also like to acknowledge Steve’s significant contribution to Speedy over the last 25 years. Steve has been at the forefront in the transformation of Speedy and I would like to personally thank him for his commitment and leadership and wish him well in his future career."
