Masternaut Three X saves British industry 75 million pounds

Vehicle tracking specialist Masternaut Three X has seen a significant upturn in its business as transport operators look to save costs. Figures revealed by the Leeds-based company show that the investment in its innovative technology is saving UK industry GBP 75 million year-on-year. That's an annual average saving of GBP 1500 per vehicle per year, after paying for the technology.

Interest in the firm's cost-saving telematics solutions has grown dramatically in recent months as the economy weakens. Masternaut has now sold 100,000 telematics units across Europe, with more than 50,000 fitted to vehicles in the UK.

The company is claiming that the recession has boosted its business as fleet operators seek ways to reduce operating costs. Masternaut's Internet-based live telematics solution requires no large IT investments, which has helped the company attract blue chip clients such as Tarmac, Air Products, United Biscuits and the famous department store Harrods.

Customer satisfaction is the key to Masternaut's success, with clients citing a host of benefits including significant cost savings, improved employee safety, instant access to real-time information and the ability to thoroughly analyse performance and boost efficiencies.

"With the downturn in the economy coupled with higher costs, operators are now looking at the best ways to reduce costs. Our telematics technology is increasingly helping our customers ride the storm and they are reporting efficiency savings by reducing running costs and finding the most efficient routes. By optimising their operations in this way, our solutions are giving them the edge to help them through these difficult days," said Martin Port, MD, Masternaut Three X.

Masternaut Three X provides end-to-end solutions for businesses on the move, including vehicle tracking, mobile workforce applications and Microsoft Dynamics business management software. The company's unique GreenerFleet solution enables fleet operators to drive down their environmental impact, reducing emissions and slashing fuel costs. In addition, Masternaut Three X provides innovative solutions to support Duty of Care initiatives. Masternaut Three X is a Microsoft Gold Partner and Managing Director Martin Port was recently named as the Ernst & Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the year for Technology and Communications. The company has also won a place in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for two years in a row: 2007 and 2008, highlighting that it is among the fastest growing technology firms in the UK.
