Materials handling equipment manufacturer Yale Europe, to sponsor Fork Lift Truck Association, FLTA, Awards

Leading materials handling equipment manufacturer Yale Europe has confirmed that it will be a full Award Sponsor for the Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence 2012.

Yale, winner in the Environment category on two occasions, decided to become a Sponsor for Awards 2012 as a way of showing its support for the FLTA's important work.

Frank Ulbricht, vice president of sales EMEA, said: "We are proud to be associated with the Awards. They have shone a spotlight on the many important developments our industry has made in areas of health and safety, training, product development, operator ergonomics and service performance.

"Becoming a Sponsor is a way of supporting the FLTA's goal of achieving excellence throughout the industry."

FLTA chairman Martyn Fletcher says: "We are delighted that Yale, as one of our previous winners, has chosen to join our committed team of Sponsors.

"Next year is a particularly significant year for the FLTA, as we will celebrate our 40th anniversary. Awards 2012 provides an opportunity to celebrate this milestone with our biggest and best event yet."

In addition to the hotly contested product categories, Environment, Ergonomics, Safety and Innovation, the Awards for Excellence 2012 will include a one-off Victor Ludorum award. This will be presented to the product or service which has been the most outstanding contribution to the fork lift truck industry in the Awards' history. Seven special Olympic-themed categories have also been created in honour of London 2012.

The evening promises to be a glittering affair with a lavish dinner and a fantastic line-up of entertainment throughout the evening. There will also be plenty of scope for catching up with former colleagues and making new contacts. Tickets are limited, so early booking is advised.
