MGB Plastics strengthens its position as UK's leading manufacturer of wheeled bins

The UK's leading manufacturer of wheeled bins has strengthened its position by investing a six figure sum in new machinery which will increase its manufacturing capacity and make more products.

MGB Plastics has continued its investment in the business by taking delivery of a second new 240L wheelie bin tool as well as a new 180L tool for its latest product which it launched recently.

This new equipment will complement its existing 240L tool and allow the company to cope with extra demand and boosts sales as it targets a growing share of the market and strengthens the position of its core flagship product - the UK's most advanced wheelie bins.

Conor Sugrue, general manager at MGB Plastics, said the new tools would help fulfil the requirements of existing clients as well as freeing up capacity for new projects.

He said: "This investment will help us to fulfil the requirements of our existing clients while giving us that extra production capacity to cope with extra demand. It will allow us to be more reactive to customer requirements and deliver a unique service without compromising on quality."

"Our aim is always to delivering maximum quality and value to our customers and this investment in the 240L tool and 180L is a testimony to our commitment to our clients, our business and our innovative products."

The new 240L tool will also reduce setup times leading to increased flexibility and efficiency while reducing lead times. MGB Plastics launched the new 240L - the most advance wheelie bin in the UK to date - last year alongside new innovatively designed kitchen caddies.

Last month, it unveiled the new 180L wheelie bin to complement its 240L product. It has now launched four new products in the last 12 months.

Last year, MGB Plastics invested in a 2350T Husky injection-moulding machine, which gave it one of the largest selections of large tonnage injection moulding machines in the UK.

This has increased the manufacturing capacity of its modern 5,000 sq m factory on Barbot Hall Industrial Estate in Rotherham to 1.5 million bins a year. MGB uses state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that only bins of the highest quality are produced.
