Mike Kason joins Imtech ICT Logistics Software as Pre Sales Consultant

Imtech ICT Logistics Software has appointed Mike Kason as Pre Sales Consultant. Mike brings tremendous experience to the role having worked as both a purchaser and vendor of logistics software. Working initially for companies such as Grand Met, Chelsea Girl, and Stora Enso Michael has been responsible for implementing WMS, purchasing and transport software. He also devised the concept of virtual stock â€" an innovation, which can increase sales by 7-8 per cent and is now featured on many systems.

This led Mike to cross into the systems sector in 1999. Working for EXE Technologies he was involved at the ground level of online shopping because the company was the first to bring out an online fulfilment model. Mike then joined Interchain in 2002 as Country Head. During his tenure, Interchain’s software won awards and the company became first to show online solutions with a display of WMS live on a P900 telephone at an exhibition in 2003.

Mike then headed into cloud computing, helping develop the Zubedo digital online distribution platform over the last 5 years before joining Imtech. Zubedo’s social-media distribution platform allows media owners and creators to publish their digital media globally, accessing the wider social-networking landscape.

“My ambition is to grow with Imtech ICT Logistic Software in the UK. It’s a great company with an impressive infrastructure and financial strength,” said Michael, who, with such an impressive pedigree in innovation, sees SaaS (Software as a Service) as having a significant impact on logistics software. He added:

“People are going to be looking for hosted solutions because the initial outlay is much lower and they have no responsibility for the maintenance and the updating of their solution.”

Welcoming Mike to the team, Rob Gibney, UK Country Manager of Imtech ICT Logistic Software said: “Mike is a great addition to Imtech. Not only is he an expert in cost optimisation that will reduce a company’s costs yet increases customer service and stakeholder value but he is also an expert in optimising warehouse and transport management systems.”
