Norbert Dentressangle has been Mitsubishi Electric's UK distribution partner since 2008 and has worked closely with the company to deliver continuous efficiency and environmental improvements. In this time, Norbert Dentressangle has extended its services to cover Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Most recently, the two companies have invested in a 12 tonne DAF LF Hybrid in line with their shared commitment to minimising the impact of their activities on the environment.
Norbert Dentressangle is responsible for the distribution of a large variety of products ranging from air conditioning units and Ecodan heating systems to projectors, display screens and industrial automation equipment, to Mitsubishi Electric's customers throughout the UK and Ireland. The contract uses a mixed fleet of 16 x 7.5 tonne and 18 tonne dedicated vehicles alongside specified subcontractors. It also manages the delivery of up to 300 parcels per day and provides a range of value-added services, including timed deliveries to meet construction schedules and Hiab and crane lifting solutions, enabling Mitsubishi Electric to meet its customers' requirements accurately.
Mitsubishi Electric's European Logistics Manager, Mark Foscoe, said: "Norbert Dentressangle have given us a very good, reliable service through the core distribution operation, their ability to take on and manage additional activities and through our shared commitment to the environment.
"We look forward to working with them over the next five years as we continue to fine-tune our distribution operations in the UK and Ireland, allowing us to maintain and enhance the excellent service we provide to our customers as volumes continue to grow."
