New from Sovex is the mobile Van Loader, which allows the safe, efficient loading and unloading of vehicles without the need for a loading bay. Mounted on large swivel castors, the unit is manoeuvrable, enabling it to meet the day-to-day needs of a business. The Van Loader connects to
warehouse conveyor systems, enabling continuous parcel flow and improving
The Van Loader comprises a powered, flexible roller conveyor fixed to an
inclined belt conveyor. Parcels travel up the belt conveyor and transfer onto the roller conveyor, which extends into the vehicle and transports them smoothly to the operator for loading. As the vehicle fills, the operator can retract the roller conveyor to maintain a comfortable working position. Travel direction is reversible to allow unloading.
David Lindfield, Managing Director at Sovex, is delighted; “Our new Van
Loader is ideal for companies that need to load or unload vehicles, but do
not have a loading bay. It reduces manual handling requirements and allows
operators to work comfortably, lowering the risk of them sustaining strain injuries. The Van Loader's mobility makes it highly versatile, something that will make it popular with our customers!”
Height adjustable to suit most vehicles, the Van Loader is easy to operate and has a robust, heavy-duty chassis, making it hardwearing and ideal for tough, industrial environments. Two models are available with differing roller conveyor extensions. The larger one extends fifteen metres, making it suitable for large trailers and shipping containers.
Sovex exhibited its new Van Loader at the recent CeMAT exhibition in Hanover, Germany. David commented; “The new Van Loader was of great interest to show visitors and indeed our competitors – people were lining up to see it all day. We secured several orders and even sold the model we were demonstrating on the stand – a huge success for the company.”
