Mono Nov's universal parts are first choice for Irish treatment works

Mono® NOV, Europe's leading designer and manufacturer of progressing cavity pumps, parts, grinders, screens and packaged systems, has proved to Osberstown Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ireland that it is the only choice for progressing cavity pump parts.

Osberstown WWTP is the largest plant in Co. Kildare and has a current capacity of 80,000 population equivalents (PE). The plant handles a normal dry weather flow of 20,000m3/day with a peak storm flow of up to 2,083 m3/h and it features numerous pumps on site, including approximately 25 progressing cavity pumps from various manufacturers including seepex®, PCM, Allweiler and Mono®.

The cost of parts for some of these pumps was increasing each year and the delivery time was usually a lengthy 6-8 weeks. The plant wanted to find an alternative solution that would improve efficiency and reduce rising pump maintenance and whole life costs.

Plant Manager at the treatment works, Fergal Cronin, explained: "As well as becoming more and more expensive, we found that some branded pump parts took a long time to be delivered. As such, we decided to trial another company's spare parts range.

"We were instantly impressed with the Mono Universal Parts range, which we sourced through Mono's local distributor AxFlow Ireland. The parts are competitively priced, of excellent quality and the distributor offers next day delivery and will even open on a Saturday if we get stuck. We are happy with the service and parts supplied by AxFlow Ireland."

Mono's Universal Parts range offers high performance, durable parts that provide cost effective alternatives to branded progressing cavity pump parts. Manufactured by Mono, parts in the range attract the same warranties and guarantees as parts for the company's own progressing cavity pumps. They have been designed to be used in seepex®, Netzsch®, PCM, Allweiler, Robbins & Myers, Bornemann and Orbit pumps.

Mono Universal Parts, which already has an established customer base across Europe, has comprehensive UK stocks and best in class lead times and availability. It also offers same day delivery on stock items and a dedicated aftermarket team, which make it a very attractive offering for engineers in the UK looking to control pump maintenance costs without sacrificing high quality service and parts.

All Mono's Universal Parts attract a three year warranty against defective materials and manufacture. The range includes rotors, stators, coupling rods, shafts, pins/bushes, seals and drive train assemblies, all of which can be purchased online via Mono's e-commerce system, which also allows customers to check stock levels and lead times.
