At this year's interpack in Düsseldorf between the 8th to 14h May, the Mosca GmbH will be demonstrating once again its technological leadership within the strapping industry. At booth D38 in hall 16, trade visitors will see Mosca's versatile portfolio of high-performance strapping machines. The fully automated strapping machine SoniXs TR-6 is on display for the first time. The machine is available in two editions due to a control concept that is revolutionary for the strapping industry. The Base model is ideal for entry-level needs, while the Pro model serves as a high-end machine with a Human Machine Interface (HMI) accessed via a colour touch panel. Thanks to its full network capability, the SoniXs TR-6 Pro is geared up for the industry 4.0 era. Proven "classic" machines such as the entry-level RO-M Fusion in the area of automated machines, the high-performance machines of the EVOLUTION series, and the technically advanced pallet strapping machine KZV-111 can also be seen at the booth. The portfolio is completed by high-quality strapping materials manufactured in PP and PET at Mosca's own production facilities for a vast range of applications.
With nearly 2,700 exhibitors from 60 countries, interpack is the trade fair highlight of the international packaging industry this year. Mosca also benefits from its active exchange between exhibitors and trade visitors. "Interpack is the ideal platform for us as a system provider of complete solutions in the strapping industry, to introduce our portfolio of strapping machines, strapping materials and safety systems to potential new customers," explains Timo Mosca, CEO of the Mosca GmbH. "This year we are focusing on Mosca's top quality at attractive prices. We will present a new machine concept directly at the booth."
New machine concept - Base and Pro
With the SoniXs TR-6 in two versions, Mosca is able to offer cost-efficient top class machines. Thanks to their different machine controls, the fully automated strapping machines will be available as a cost-efficient Base model with a simple machine control and as a Pro version with numerous strapping programs and pre-programming functions. Timo Mosca sees the diversity of customer requirements as a motivation for the newly developed models. "The areas in which the machines are used vary between customers. Not every customer requires a specialized high-performance machine but equally does not want to miss out on top performance and quality. With the Base model, our customers are now able to choose a cost-efficient variation of the SoniXs TR-6, which is based on the same high-performance mechanics as the Pro model."
While the Base model is equipped with a MSCB-1 control panel and a keyboard, the SoniXs TR-6 Pro uses a specialized B&R machine control and a HMI via a colour touch panel. Both machine types feature Mosca's energy-saving ultrasonic technology, SoniXs, and the Standard-6 strap path, which is easily accessible and can be dismantled without the use of tools. As a result, its maintenance is very easy. Compared to the Base model, the Pro variation offers comprehensive options to pre-program strapping processes and to adjust them fully automatically to diverse needs. The Base and Pro models can be used universally, whether for wholesalers or printers, in the logistics, food or pharmaceutical industries. The strapping machines' performance proves particularly successful in areas with high product throughput and high requirements for machine availability.
The SoniXs TR-6 Pro also impresses with its detailed error display that supports trouble shooting. The diagnosis can be carried out remotely from Waldbrunn thanks to the machine's full network capability. If required, it can be remotely controlled via a connected computer. This makes the machine geared up for industry 4.0, where machines communicate directly with each other. The machine's status can be monitored at any time.
Optimal pallet strapping
The fully automated pallet strapping machine KZV-111 is stable, efficient and environmentally friendly. Equipped with a SoniXs ultrasonic sealing unit, it carries Mosca's own technology label GET Inside. Ideally suited for logistic processes and thanks to the optimized machine shape, the KZV-111 quickly and reliably straps voluminous packages of different sizes. A strap tension balance system distributes the strap tension evenly across the entire package, which is an advantage especially for rigid products. The strap tension is the same at every point of strapping, ensuring reliable stability. Thanks to optimized components such as the extremely narrow sealing top platen, pallets of different loading heights provide no problem. The machine flexibly straps diverse loads. The sealing top platen made of sheet metal is light and fast. At the same time it requires less energy to operate. Using a single base frame for the feeding mechanism, the modular construction proves particularly useful for the customer. The KZV-111's conveyor height is flexibly adjustable and the machine can be easily integrated into existing production lines. Customers who place specific value on even quicker strapping can optionally upgrade their machine with a High Speed-operation (HS).
Entry-level with style
Nearly two years ago Mosca introduced the model EVOLUTION SoniXs MP-6, the first strapping machine with a modular construction, Standard-6 sealing unit and unitised strap path. As a result the EVOLUTION SoniXs MP-6 has set new standards not just for entry-level strapping machines. The three EVOLUTION SoniXs MP-6 models "table", "straps" and "rollers" have taken root onto the market, being used by numerous customers in diverse industries.
The RO-M Fusion is a classic among the Mosca machines. For many years the automatic strapping machine has proven successful on the international market. With its high strapping performance, its super soft strapping and its numerous options at attractive prices, the compact RO-M Fusion is one of the most reliable strapping machines at entry level. Trade visitors will be demonstrated the machine's user friendliness and reliability at the booth.
Quality from one source
To ensure maximum quality from one source, system provider Mosca not only produces strapping machines but also manufactures the necessary plastic straps. The tear-resistant straps of between five and sixteen millimetres width are safe to use with all strapping machines. A selection of strapping materials made out of PP and PET in one of Europe's most modern sites will also be on display. "We offer our customers high-quality strapping machines, plastic straps and an unparalleled global service network - all from one source", says Mosca. "We are looking forward to demonstrating these qualities at our booth at interpack."
