Motor Wheel Service has expanded its xlite range with the launch of xflange, a new forged aluminium wheel designed for heavy duty applications.
The wheels, which are available in 17.5, 19.5 and 22.5 inch sizes, are manufactured using a special process which embeds hard material into the flange and provides enormous strength to the section of the wheel that faces extreme pressure under increased loads.
xflange benefits includes a longer life cycle, higher wear resistance and an excellent bonding with the wheel substrate.
The ultimate advantages of operating with forged aluminium wheels includes extra payloads, reduced fuel usage and decreased CO² emissions.
John Ellis, managing director of Motor Wheel Service, said: "We continually look to enhance our range and the xflange is a welcome addition, especially for Scotland and Northern European markets where there are a far larger number of heavy duty applications."
Motor Wheel Service is at the forefront of the commercial vehicle wheel safety campaign and have recently signed a two-year key supplier agreement with leading tyre specialist ATS Euromaster.
Ellis added: "The wheel is one of the most safety critical elements on any truck or bus and every product we bring to market is rigorously tested to meet the exacting standards of operators. With our new relationship we will jointly educate the market while striving to improve operator margins."
