Peterborough based Bradshaw Electric Vehicles was named ‘Business of the Year’ at the 18th Peterborough Telegraph Business Awards 2013 on Friday (22 November).
As the largest UK based manufacturer in this sector, providing handling solutions worldwide for over 30 years they were judged as demonstrating positive growth, increased profits and potential in their own business, as well as making a positive contribution to the sub-regional economy as a whole.
The Bradshaw name is more commonly found on electric vehicles handling, waste, recycling and goods or moving personnel – the glitz of an awards ceremony was new ground.
Drew Bradshaw, joint managing director for Bradshaw said, "We are delighted with the award. Our day-to-day focus is the delivery of good products and service to our clients, you tend to lose track of what you have achieved."
"Being judged by our piers in the business community as worthy to receive the ‘Business of the Year Award’ is testament to the hard work of everyone here, we are a very proud team right now."
The ceremony took place at the Peterborough Arena and saw hundreds of guests gather from across the Peterborough business community.
