Brian Croll sees a tremendous future with Hako for specialist vehicle manufacturer Multicar, which produces multi-purpose vehicles for round-the-year use - from winter maintenance to grass cutting.
Joining Hako Machines Ltd as Multicar Project Manager during Multicar's relaunch to the UK in September 2006, when Hako Machines took on the operation's range of specialist vehicles, Brian quickly secured the operation's first orders.
Well known in the groundscare and specialist vehicle market Brian has a wealth of knowledge gained from his 25 years in this sector and will continue Hako's drive forward with Multicar. Starting his career as an agricultural engineer, Brian progressed via agricultural sales to be a depot manager for a John Deere dealer. More recently Brian was responsible for importing and marketing a Swiss manufacturer of specialist vehicles.
Multicar's UK re-launch followed a major reorganisation and a new emphasis on the operation when German parent group company Hako-Werke, which acquired Multicar in 1998, made it a manufacturing division of the company, allowing Multicar to benefit significantly in terms of sales approach and service and parts support.
"Now with the availability of Euro-4 models and the new management and dealer structure in Germany, it was a good time to seek wider applications for Multicars in the UK. Multicar products will now be integrated within the main sales and service support structure of Hako products and increased resources in terms of product support," explains Stuart Taylor, MD of Hako Machines Ltd.
The Euro-4 models join Multicar's existing range, which consists of Fumo, M26 and the Tremo Implement Carrier. All are designed to cope with a variety of applications and feature quick attach systems for attachments. Hako Machines market a range of attachments from Multicar approved partners such as Fielder, Reinex, Trilety, KIF and Blumenbecker.
This means Hako can offer all-year round solutions to customers - anything from winter maintenance, grass cutting, sweeping, leaf collecting, etc. With Hako Machines' market leading service and parts back-up, this product is now a serious a contender in the UK market – just as it already is in the rest of Europe.
Brian comments:
"The great thing about the Multicar range is that one powerful yet compact base vehicle can be used with a whole host of demountable bodies and attachments, which makes economical, all-seasons use a really practical proposition. I'm very much looking forward to getting to grips with all the possibilities and it's reassuring to know that Hako already have a well established service organisation to support the products. With the changes that have taken place both in Germany and especially here in the UK, Multicar has a great future."
