Multimodal 2015: Public launch of Red Ledge Fast-Build Manufacturing and Logistics System

Software application and engineering company Red Ledge has chosen Multimodal 2015 (NEC, 28-30 April) for the public launch of ‘Red Ledge Manufacturer’, a fast-build manufacturing and logistics system for multimodal and other supply chains that uses RFID and barcode data capture to track and trace goods end-to-end, from raw materials through manufacture into storage and distribution. Red Ledge will be running an RFID and barcode in-motion demonstrator to illustrate the company’s data capture capabilities.

Red Ledge Manufacturer speeds system development using pre-designed, pre-defined and packaged production processes that can be dragged and dropped as on-screen objects and that automatically communicate with other processes. These cover all areas of production and logistics, from raw materials to finished goods, warehousing and distribution, and allow faster, more cost-effective deployment say Red Ledge.

Red Ledge Manufacturer tracks and manages every stage of production and logistics and includes KPI reporting for manufacturing targets. System choices include RFID, barcode and voice-driven information capture with full traceability, plus the option to add client-specific custom production and warehousing processes to the mix. Red Ledge Manufacturer can be integrated with all mainstream ERP systems.

When Red Ledge Manufacturer uses RFID, choke-point portal readers seamlessly track every stage of manufacture and logistics, capturing and reporting data in real time from RFID-tagged assets, at up to twice the speed of their barcode equivalent and with near-100% accuracy.
