by the Institute of Transport Management (ITM) for the second year running.
The ITM conducted in-depth market research to discover the best vehicle tracking system on the market â€" Navman Wireless was found to be the clear winner.
Announcing the Award, ITM Awards Liaison Officer, Philip Leung said: “Mobile information technology is now a vital part of running a fleet and innovation in the industry is becoming ever more rapid.
“But nowhere is progress swifter than at Navman Wireless. The company’s commitment to pioneering new technology and investment in appropriate resources mean that when a new development arises in the sector, it arises at Navman Wireless first.â€
Once more, the Staffordshire-based firm fended off stiff competition from other industry heavyweights to be crowned this year’s winner.
Mr Leung attributes the company’s latest innovation, the M-Nav 750, to helping it retain the award.
“The product is the only specialist satellite device available to business users which offers navigation, tracking and messaging in one slick package,†he said.
“Navman Wireless’ vehicle tracking is reliable, convenient and detailed enough to suit the needs of any user in the fleet sector. Companies looking to stay ahead of the competition and keep operational costs down would be hard pressed to find a better provider for their mobile technology requirements.â€
Tony Neill, Executive Vice President at Navman Wireless, added: “To be recognised by the ITM is extremely rewarding and serves to strengthen our reputation as a world leader in telematics technology.â€
ITM has announced that its annual award ceremony will take place at the Carbon 2009 Show, which runs from 29th to 30th September at the ExCel in London.
