New cold shows to be a hotbed of ideas

Two brand-new exhibitions for the frozen and chilled foods industry look set to be a storming success, with the sector's major players signing up to exhibit.

The Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Show and the Frozen & Chilled Foods Show will be co-located at Peterborough's Exec exhibition centre on 14 and 15 September. With over 40 exhibitors having booked stands, more than 60% of the floor space has already been allocated - plus a further 30 exhibitors are poised to sign up. "It's shaping up to be a fantastic launch event," said Martyn Cogan, Sales & Marketing Director, "and the level of interest from this specialist sector shows the demand for these new shows."

Wide range of exhibits

The new exhibitions will be packed with a huge range of products and services for frozen and chilled food manufacturing and distribution. Exhibitors include heavy goods vehicle bodybuilders, light van converters and suppliers of refrigeration systems for transport and warehousing. Also present will be cold store construction companies, contract storage and distribution suppliers, forklift truck manufacturers, racking suppliers, industrial lift and loading system companies and mobile computing specialists. The impressive line-up continues with industrial gas suppliers, temperature monitoring and recording equipment specialists, rental and contract hire providers, food industry door manufacturers, warehouse cleaning specialists, industrial and commercial flooring and wall specialists, providers of lighting solutions and packaging suppliers. The co-located exhibitions are supported by the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF), whose members will exhibit in a special 'FSDF village' within the shows.

Live demo area and seminars

The event will also feature a special area for live product demonstrations, allowing visitors to see products such as forklift trucks in action. There will also be a free and highly educational seminar programme featuring key topics and trends in the cold supply chain, as well as a café area for networking, within the event's Business Hub.

Industry dinner returns

At the end of the first day of the show, exhibitors and visitors are invited to attend the TCS&D Dinner, which makes a welcome return to the industry after a break of some 15 years. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal with entertainment and the opportunity for some valuable networking. For more details, call Richard Cogan on 01732 868 288.
