Adrian Taylor of CMP Batteries has been appointed as Service Support Controller for the North East. He joined CMP 12 years ago as a Service Engineer from British Coal where he was an Underground Electrician; he became a Team Leader at CMP in 2003. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the service operation, including seven other engineers and looking after major OE customers and end users.
Adrian is a musician whose claim to fame is that he appeared on Emmerdale seven years ago, but was never tempted to pursue a career in showbiz.
Commenting on his appointment, Adrian said, "The reason I have stayed with and progressed at CMP is because of the support and development the service team gets. CMP is part of Exide Technologies, the world's largest provider of motive power energy solutions, so they rely on close on-going relationships with customers and ensure that all engineers are trained on all the latest products and technologies."
