Thorworld Industries, the market-leading loading and unloading specialist, has extended its comprehensive selection of dock loading/unloading aids and restraint/protection products. The company’s latest launches are featured alongside its other extensive and well-established equipment range in Thorworld’s new 2012/13 Product Range Brochure.
Thorworld provides the UK’s widest choice of loading bay and materials handling equipment, safety aids and accessories from a single source, all of which are featured in their brand new, full colour, 44 page catalogue and on its website.
All of Thorworld’s loading/unloading solutions are designed to enhance efficiency and safety, and reduce costs, in and around the loading bay – and the company’s latest equipment additions complement these brand values perfectly.
Dock Bumper Protectors are used to eliminate wear on the front of traditional rubber dock bumpers, which can be damaged over time. Manufactured from 15mm thick painted mild steel, the protectors are designed to withstand frequent heavy impact in order to extend bumper life and are available in two designs – front face only, or front and top – to fit three different sizes of dock bumper. Thorworld is also offering combined protector and low-fibre bumpers, which are ideal for impact absorption, at a specially reduced price.
Vehicle Stoppers are ideal for use in distribution, warehouse, factory or parking areas to act as an end stop, in order to accurately and safely stop vehicles and prevent impact with and damage to site facilities. Manufactured from recycled rubber and supplied with high visibility markings, two styles – Car Stopper and Truck Stopper – can be supplied to suit individual requirements.
Thorworld’s existing range of traffic lights – which can be used in loading bays with a Wheel Chock incorporating a built-in movement switch, to help reduce accidents caused by drivers pulling away whilst loading/unloading is still taking place – is now complemented with the new Ultra Bright LED Traffic Lights. These EC Registered designs deliver high visibility but at the same time ensure low energy consumption and a long lifespan thanks to the use of LED technology. Available with either 24 or 40 LEDs per array, special versions can be supplied on request, including larger sizes, arrows, chevrons or pointers.
"Whatever the business, it is vital that vehicle loading and unloading takes place in a safe and efficient manner," explains John Meale, managing director of Thorworld Industries. "These latest innovations complement our existing product range to give customers real choice in finding safe and cost-effective products for use in and around the loading bay."
Together with the new product additions, the 2012/13 Thorworld Product Range Catalogue includes dock shelters & seals, dock levellers, modular loading docks, lightweight mobile platforms, dock plates & boards, dock & vehicle bumpers, wheel chocks & vehicle restraints, traffic lights, wheel guides & alignment curbs, together with Thorworld’s renowned range of standard and bespoke mobile yardramps, which are available for purchase or rental through the company’s RentARamp® division, the Truckloada® mobile yardlift and the Dockloada® scissor lift platform.
