New trade shows launched for the temperature controlled storage and distribution industry

Two brand-new trade shows have been unveiled for the frozen and chilled foods industry. Co-located at Peterborough's Exec exhibition complex, the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Show and the Frozen & Chilled Foods Show will take place on 14 and 15 September 2011.

The new events have been launched by Uxbridge-based Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Ltd and Sherwin Publications Ltd, based in Edenbridge, Kent. The partner firms each contribute a wealth of experience and industry know-how, forming a firm foundation for a successful B2B show.

As well as publishing the leading logistics magazine Storage Handling Distribution (ShD), Quartz organises a number of exhibitions including the International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX), which is one of the UK's top ten largest trade shows.

Sherwin publishes two key magazines for the cold supply chain sector -Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution (TCS&D) and Frozen & Chilled Foods - both of which work closely with key trade organisations including the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF), the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and Transfrigoroute UK (TUK). Says Richard Cogan, Publisher, "We are delighted to have formed a partnership with Quartz to bring these new exhibitions to the perishable products sector. The Frozen & Chilled Foods Show is a brand-new event, covering the production equipment and associated services used by this vibrant industry. The Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Show, which is dedicated to the movement and storage of perishable products worldwide, was last held in 1995. The TCS&D Exhibition and Trade Dinner were very popular events on the industry calendar and we are excited to have the opportunity to bring them back in 2011 as a key meeting point for the industry."

A show dedicated to the cold supply chain

Executives in the chilled and frozen food production and supply chain sectors - as well as those in other industries requiring temperature-controlled logistics, such as the pharmaceutical sector - will now have a show dedicated to their needs. Exhibitors will be promoting a range of innovative products and services featuring the latest technology for perishables - from food processing machinery and specialist packaging to cold storage equipment and refrigerated transport.

Convenient and easily accessible

The show's venue - within Peterborough's East of England Showground - is centrally located and easy to travel to, being just a stone's throw from the A1. The Exec centre is also just 15 minutes from Peterborough's mainline railway station, with London's King's Cross just 45 minutes away by train. East Midlands, Birmingham, Luton and Stansted airports are each approximately an hour's car journey away and the venue offers plenty of free parking.

Cost-effective exhibiting

With stands available in a range of sizes from 9m2 to 64m2, there are promotional opportunities to suit all budgets.
