New V tag joins Ritchey thermally printed tag system

Demand for a versatile identification tag that will resist high temperatures and chemicals has led information solutions provider ritchey-id to add the new V Tag to its bespoke thermally printed plastic tags and sleeve system from Hellermann Tyton.

Exclusively available through ritchey-id, the V Tag can be used either vertically or horizontally to identify awkward items such as flat hoses that require 'in line' identification. The tag is already proving popular not only with fire services but with airports and local authorities.

Available in two lengths, 25mm x40mm and 25mm x 100mm, and two colours, yellow and white, the tags are attached using standard cable ties.

Part of the new Thermal Identification Printing System (TIPS), the tags are designed to identify equipment discretely and resist high temperatures, flammability, chemical and weathering.

Like ritchey-id's Wrap, Sleeve and Tip Tags, the V Tag is extremely durable and can be over-printed with barcodes in code 39 and 128 format, as well as two dimensional codes. The addition of company logos and safety critical symbols enables assets to be efficiently and effectively identified. Boxes, text and bar codes can also be printed to give a robust, economic range of tags which can be used on a range of equipment, including hoses, cable bundles, screwdrivers, spanners and many other small items previously considered impossible to tag. In addition, the ritchey-id Wrap Tag can be heat shrunk and further specialist labels with associated clear laminates offer added protection and versatility.

Current TIPS users include Rolls Royce, the Military, Local Authorities and fire services including Cleveland, in addition to a host of companies in the electrical supply sector.

Ritchey-id offers a bespoke printing service, while customers with a large print requirement can purchase a printer and plain tags for total asset management control. Using Windows-based software, tags can then be printed in any volume as required from the customer's existing database, cutting out expensive set up and reprint costs. The TT3000 Thermal Transfer Printer prints tags, labels and sleeves at high resolution and full training, after sales package and 12 month warranty is included in the purchase price.
