New Woodway Livery bigger, better, greener

Woodway have recently taken delivery of four new vehicles. The IVECO Eurocargo 75E16 trucks are more fuel efficient and produce less CO2 emissions.

The SCR technology incorporated in the tector engines cuts running costs, extends oil change intervals and improves reliability. The SCR engines do not recirculate exhaust gases to the combustion chamber and boast 5% better fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In addition, all the new trucks have an automatic gearbox and are fitted with an exhaust brake.

The trucks conform to EEV (Enhanced Environmentally-friendly Vehicle) standards which are even stricter than the previous Euro V. In order to reduce their carbon footprint further, Woodway have selected trucks with 20% more capacity than the previous fleet.

Woodway have also invested in forklift trucks with new high frequency chargers that will deliver a number of cost and environmental savings by reducing electricity and water usage.

The Hawker HF charger is very efficient compared to a conventional 50Hz equivalent. Large electrical savings are made due to the decreased time it takes to charge the batteries. Its intelligent charging profile substantially reduces electrolyte loss so that batteries need less frequent additions of water, also saving labour time.
